Besher is the principal orthodontist at Only Orthodontics. Having qualified as a dentist in 1994, he then worked as a Senior House Officer in oral surgery at the oral and maxillofacial departments in Liverpool and Norwich, before embarking on his orthodontic training. In 1999, Besher completed a full-time three-year specialist training programme in orthodontics at Guy’s Hospital, London, leading to the award of a Master’s Degree in Orthodontics and Membership of The Royal College of Surgeons of England in Orthodontics.
Following his orthodontic qualification, Besher moved to Bournemouth to start work at the Orthodontic Department at The Royal Bournemouth Hospital as a Specialist Registrar. Whilst also working at orthodontic practices in Andover and Winchester, in 2001 Besher joined the team at Only Orthodontics, where he later became a partner. He has been working here as a full-time specialist orthodontist ever since, becoming practice principal in 2018.
Since joining Only Orthodontics, Besher has been providing a wide range of specialist orthodontic treatments for both children and adult patients, including aesthetic fixed appliances, Invisalign, Invisalign Teen and Incognito lingual appliances. To complement his vast experience of treating children, Besher has developed his expertise in treating adult patients over the years, gaining a wide range of experience in this field. He is trained in a variety of specialist treatments, such as the use of Temporary Anchorage Devices, aiding him in the treatment of complex orthodontic cases.
He is a fully certified, experienced provider in both Incognito and Invisalign treatment and is a Platinum Invisalign provider.
In his spare time, Besher enjoys spending time with his family and friends, hiking and mountain climbing, travelling, going to the gym and playing tennis.
He remains a member of the British Orthodontic Society, The Royal College of Surgeons of England in Orthodontics, The British Dental Association, a Fellow of The World Federation of Orthodontists and is also a member of Dorset Local Dentists Committee.
Kallie is an award winning Orthodontist with significant expertise and clinical experience in orthodontic care.
She qualified as a dentist from Manchester Dental Hospital in 2001. Prior to starting her Specialist Orthodontic training, Kallie worked as a resident senior house officer in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Departments at Central Manchester & Children’s University Hospitals NHS Trust. She was non-resident senior house officer at the Dental Hospital of Manchester, as well as a Community Dental Officer in North of Manchester (Oldham), gaining invaluable experience in paediatric dentistry.
Kallie completed her specialist orthodontic training in Liverpool Hospital in 2009, and was awarded a Master of Dental Science in Orthodontics with Honours in 2009.
Following her Orthodontic specialisation, Kallie worked in a NHS and private specialist orthodontic practice in Manchester for 4 days per week for 10 years. At the same time, for 5 years she spent one day per week working at the Orthodontic Department at Halton District Hospital, North Cheshire and Warrington NHS Trust, where she treated adult patients with growth problems of the facial complex requiring orthognathic (jaw) surgery.
In July 2019, Kallie relocated her family to Bournemouth where she joined Only Orthodontics specialist orthodontic practice as a valued member of the team. Kallie specialises in the treatment of children and adults, using an extensive range of orthodontic appliances from the more conventional fixed appliances to the most advanced cosmetic orthodontic appliances, including clear aligners, ceramic and lingual (hidden) braces. She is fully certified in both Invisalign clear appliances and Incognito lingual appliances.
Being interested in all aspects of orthodontics, Kallie undertakes many hours of postgraduate education each year to keep up to date with all the latest techniques.
In her spare time, Kallie is dedicated to spending time with her family and friends and in the kitchen, and enjoys yoga, exploring the countryside and travelling.
Kallie is a member of the British Orthodontic Society.
Dr Blanco qualified as a dentist in 2007, from Complutense University in Madrid, Spain. From there, she moved to the UK in 2008 and worked as a general dentist for five years. In 2013, Dr Blanco embarked on her three year, full time postgraduate Orthodontic training in Spain and gained her Masters in European Specialty in Orthodontics in 2016. On returning to the UK, she has worked exclusively in NHS & Private Orthodontics as a clinician both in specialist practice and hospital settings.
Dr Blanco has now been practicing as a qualified orthodontist for nearly a decade, during which time she has worked alongside well-respected and renowned Consultants and Professors. In February 2024, Dr Blanco relocated to Bournemouth and joined the Only Orthodontics family on full time basis.
Dr Blanco regularly attends training updates to maintain her clinical acumen and explore the latest developments in Orthodontics. She provides a full range of Orthodontic options from the conventional metal brackets through to ceramic brackets and clear aligners for all age groups. In her spare time, Dr Blanco enjoys travelling, reading, staying active and learning about different languages and cultures.
Tara Joined Only Orthodontics in 2007. She went on to train and acquire a Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy from Leeds University to qualify as an orthodontic therapist in July 2012. Tara works alongside Dr Aswad as an orthodontic therapist and has gained a wide variety of experience in treating both children and adult patients, using all the different types of orthodontic appliances including fixed and removable appliances, Incognito, Invisalign and Invisalign Teen.
Deborah joined Only Orthodontics in 2011 and progressed to acquiring her Diploma in Orthodontic Therapy at Leeds University. She qualified as an orthodontic therapist in June 2018. Deborah works alongside Dr Aswad and Dr Kokosali, treating both children and adult patients with fixed and removable appliances, Incognito and Invisalign, and Invisalign Teen.
